Agent Air's look at Bizzarro World

Hiya...... Agent Air here... and this is the news! I'm the guest writer today and I'm gonna do something a little special...... on my own site I write about Hot Wheels all the time..... and I don't use pictures there. I prefer to paint a picture in your mind.... because it's fun. But with the help of Joe Falco.... today will be a different kind of story..... so.......... The Agent Air show..........is......... on ....... the ......... AIR!

Hey! Today I am going to take you to a place, where things are not what they seem. A place where what was supposed to be...... is. A place that not many of you get to check out. As I sit here at my desk, in my office, at Airland........ my new assistant Agent Lisa (a blonde 22 year old ex-aerobics instructor) is busy hitting the stores and picking up the 6 new energy cars for me. The energy cars are the key. With the six energy cars.......... we have the power........ the power to find .... the lost, seventh energy car called Fusion!
She's back......... "Did you get the energy cars Lisa?"....... "Yes Mr. Air" she says in a shy voice. Great!... Lets go. I follow Agent Lisa up a hidden stairway that leads to the roof. This is where the Agent Air Starship is docked....... Once inside, I sit at the control panel. The control panel has seven one inch by one inch square holes that are all labeled. The labels read........ Chemical ... Electronic ... Cyber ... Geo-Thermal ...Particle ... Protonic ... and Fusion. "Agent Lisa, can I have the energy cars please", I ask. She opens the bag and spills out the..... the ........ 6 Energy Bars! "Lisa!!!! ... I said energy cars........ not energy bars!"  "Sorry Air, wrong bag........ here" she says in a sorry tone. I match the cars to the holes and slide them in one at a time... with each car more lights and controls become active.... in the starship. As I slip number six..... the Protonic car into the slot...... the engines come on..... we're ready to go.

Vaaa....Rooooooooom! Up we go..... Reaching these high speeds can distort reality........ and reaching these high speeds is the only way ..... to enter ..... The Bizzarro Hot Wheels World. This is the place I was telling you about........ where things are not what they seem...... where what was supposed to be......... is! Here's our first example ... lets take a look at the  1996 Dodge Charger Daytona first edition.... as it was released back on our world. Remember it? Red with tan interior and gold wheels...
As we look down on the Bizzarro Hot Wheels world.... the Daytona is as it was first shown to us on the 1996 poster.... and here it lives... in all its beauty...

Since we're talking about 1996..... lets also take a look at one of my favorite 67 Camaros........ The Mod Bod 67 Camaro..... what collector could ever pass this car up?
Light green........ red interior..... how cool was that! The 67 Camaro was a replacement for the Olds 442........ and here in the Bizzarro Hot Wheels world is where it ended up......

Do you remember .... some time ago, I spoke about a 100% set called the "Main Event"....... this set was never produced, but I sure new about it, hell!... I had pictures of it...... all the cars were eventually produced....... but not as a set........ Heres where it ended up...... Bizzarro world.

Last year was a big year here in Bizzarro world........ the big M (Mattel) sent some really cool stuff here........ The "Bugs and Buses Set" comes to mind. All those pictures floating around the web of the VW Bug convertible rocked our world. The set they finally produced for us was missing the convertible...

The original set design has that beautiful bug...... look at it! It's not a drawing....... it's a casting........ it's here in the Bizzarro Bugs and Buses set...... That car exists........

What about that picture in the fourth edition of Tomart's guide......... the Cabbin' Fever drawing........ it was on the poster too...... what happened to it? When did they change it....... The picture looks nothing like the Cabbin' Fever that was finally released as a 2000 first edition. Was that Cabbin' Fever in the drawing ever made? Look at this....... here's the proto-type......... in Bizzarro world....

And what about this year? Have any 2002 cars been sent here? What about all those Chevelle collectors that can still to this day hear those chilling words that came from Mattel on  January 6th...  The 70 Chevelle is no longer a part of the Stars and Stripes series... it has been replaced with a Split window 34 roadster... Mattel's explanation... "having it scheduled for two series, was a mistake both because we don't want the same car on the poster twice and because it would most likely cause a tooling availability conflict" ....... Geeeeez! I get the chills. And by the looks of it.... Agent Lisa with that tight white top .... looks pretty good with the chills. Well here's what was cancelled...... the Stars and Stripes 70 Chevelle........ take a good look at it.

To get back to the real world we need to fill the seventh slot on the control panel with the Fusion Energy car...... which cannot be found at Wal-Mart.... or Target... or K-Mart back on our Earth......... but here in the Bizzarro Hot Wheels World.... it does exist! "Agent Lisa.... locate the Fusion car and beam one up to the starship will you?" .......... "thanks"......... it will just be a minute........... its a peg warmer here. "Got it Air" she says. I hope you guys enjoyed the ride....... Maybe we'll come back here again together........ with the Fusion car added..... we can return home......... and an extra bonus is that the Fusion car heats up the hot tub for me and Lisa.......... now there's a picture!

What? You wanna see the Fusion car? I have an extra one right here........

Be Well.......... AIR
