Johnny Lightning Classic Plastic Series

Hi all,

Nearly all diecast collectors have built, or are still building, plastic model kits.
And now you can have a little bit of each in one set.
Introducing the Johnny Lightning Classic Plastic series.
Diecast cars based on your favorite model kits.

The first series includes Plymouth Superbird Sox & Martin in Snow White,
'72 AMC Javelin AMX in McLaren Yellow, '71 Plymouth Cuda Sox & Martin in
Snow White, 70 Dodge Challenger F/C Ram-Rod in Cherry Red, '71 Ford
Mustang F/C Boss Hoss in Pacific Blue, and Haulin' Hearse in Light Yellow.
All the cars are replica's of the Jo-Han company's 1/25th car models.

All are highly detailed, as is the Johnny Lightning norm, with moving parts on a
few models, and correct tampos that mirror the original model decals.
I really like the two funny cars in the set. I can still remember gluing together a
Ram-Rod Challenger. Of course, it never looked this good!! Quality
on all these cars is as good as we've become accustomed to with
Johnny Lightning. All the moving parts move smoothly, and the paint work
is second to none.

As an added bonus, there is a cardboard replica box from the original model kit.
The replica box is printed on all sides, with artwork that matches the originals
perfectly. They are quite small though. Too small to store the cars in,
but cool none the less.

The folks at Playing Mantis have done a great job tying these two hobbies
together. Personally, I would like to see this set done with some Tom Daniels
designs, like the Li'l Van, Quicksilver, and Bad Medicine, among others.
There isn't any shortage of designs that can be used. I don't think any of us
can count the number of model kits that have been on the market
over the years. The possibilities for this series seem to be endless.

Special thanks to Robert & Joyce of CollectorsNetUSA
for sending this sample set to me.
