| 08/21/2003 Hi all, I received an email today from a Mr. Richard Earl, grandson of the legendary Harley Earl. It was a thrill to me to receive an email from a relative of one of my heroes, a man who left a legacy of design and engineering that won't soon be forgotten in the automotive world. Here's the text of the email I received: |

Hey Joe,
Found your site and like what you had to say about Mr. "our father, who art & styling...Harley be thy name…." Earl.
Yeah, a lot is going now in Motordom, finally, to resurrect his image and the body of knowledge he originally set into motion from with inside Detroit.
My sister just told me she saw a new show on the History Channel, just last night, where it was practically dedicated to telling Harley Earl’s story...and that it was obvious that the director (because of the new storyline) had perused the carofthecentury.com website (which has the new story being told now by the Earl family) vs. the old story that was in circulation prior to the Buick ad campaign coming out.
Anyway, thought it would be a good idea also, since you are already interested, to let you know there is an Official Harley Earl Website, sponsored by the Earl family, that has an open door policy on letting this man’s unseen and untold story come to the fore.
Best, Richard Earl |

found fascinating. If you're a fan of the classics, and would like to
