Hi all. Let's start this out with two givens.

First, everyone who visits knows I'm a 57 Chevy nut,
followed closely by 55 Chevies and all Nomads.
Second, that Muscle Machines are the hottest diecast
newcomer on the market.

Now having said that, I have the opportunity to once again
feed my passion for old Chevies, and show you folks some new
releases all at once.

So here we go.......
Muscle Machines has recently released two versions of the
1955 Chevy, a two-door sedan and the Nomad. Both cars
are extremely cool. Better in fact, than my beloved
1957 Chevy. The lines are crisper, cleaner, and the details are
very well done. Right down to the old style Chevy shield on the
hoods of both, and on the trunk lid of the sedan.
Both models share an identical front end, with chrome headlights
and grille. There is a minor variance in the front bumpers. The Nomad has
the "push bars", while the sedan has the straight bumper.
The stance of the sedan is a very nice. The rear
wheels are tucked up into the fenders, which lowers the car a bit.
The Nomad sits nearly the same. It has the illusion of being higher,
but it's the cut of the wheel well that does that.
The body side chrome and door handle details look very good on both models.
Nice straight lines without a lot of over spray or voids.
The rear ends on both cars are nicely detailed. The Nomad sports
the 7 chrome beauty bars, and the name "Nomad" in correct font,
while the sedan shows the Chevy badge. Both models have painted
taillights, and the same bumper configuration as the front.
I just love that shot of the sedan. Looks like it's straight out of
American Graffiti.
I would have liked to see the windows done as a separate piece, like
the original Muscle Machines, instead of a painted area on a solid cast.
But I am happy to see that the tires are rubber,
not the hard plastic type that became common in the 5 packs.

All things considered, these cars are, in my opinion, two of the best
releases that the folks at Funline have ever developed. I can't wait for the
flamed versions and the hood scoop models. Listening, Fred??

Thanks to Fred Blood at 1StopDiecast for furnishing me these cars to review.
