The Zambian Federal government is in the procedure of setting up 1 regulator for the country’s gaming and lotteries market, with North-Western Province Lasting Secretary Willies Mangimela expressing his concern at the existing “fragmented” laws.
Talking at the formal opening of a community consultative meeting in Solwezi, Mangimela introduced that an inter-ministerial complex committee experienced been founded in a bid to harmonise the current restrictions, and to build a person regulator.
The committee has presently drafted the coverage and implementation framework, with the new legislation established to control the two actual physical and on-line gaming and lotteries in the place. The recent framework is reportedly quick-growing, but is also remaining abused.
